What Does an Annual Fire Sprinkler Test Include?
The purpose of an annual inspection is to perform general check of the sprinkler system to determine its working condition. The inspection typically starts with a visual check of the entire system, making sure the piping is not corroded, sprinkler heads are not painted over, spare sprinkler heads and wrench are present, and trip testing deluge and pre actions.
Finally, the 1 year annual sprinkler test concludes with testing the water supply piping condition by performing a main water drain test at every riser. A certificate is then placed at the system check valve area and a California State Fire Marshall test report is filled out.
